My education included coursework in areas such as family and couples therapy, play therapy, lifespan development, diagnosis and assessment, group psychotherapy, gender and ethnicity studies, spirituality and counseling, substance use and abuse counseling, and career development counseling. I am committed to the highest standards of professional practice. My theoretical orientation comes from LMFT/LPC perspective. I utilize a family systems approach, Psychodynamic, Gestalt, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. This may include: cognitive thoughts, anxiety, depression, trauma/emotions, addiction, and relationships. My approach will include a lot of psycho-education and self-exploration. I am both directive and non-directive. I value a direct dialogue to identify specific needs and areas of struggle that need to be addressed. I utilize a strengths based approach and work collaboratively with clients to reach treatment goals.
