About Me

I, Barbara Dern, obtained a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling from Northwest Nazarene University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (License number: LPC-7727) in the state of Idaho. 

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, my job is to assist you to reach your goals. In doing so, I may utilize a variety of techniques to increase self-awareness and work through concerns. Counseling is a process that encourages you to explore your emotions, thoughts, and relationships. I have vast training in Play Therapy and counseling utilizing creative expression. Beyond play therapy I incorporate Emotional Focused Therapy in order to connect cognitions and emotions and truly embrace change within the individual.
